Bettina Glasl receives 3-year REWIRE Post-Doc as well as FWF Hertha-Firnberg Fellowships

Bettina won a 3-year Post-Doc fellowship from the REinforcing Women In REsearch (REWIRE) COFUND Programme, a Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions COFUND project funded by the European Commission as well as a 3 year Post-Doc fellowship from the FWF in the framework of the Hertha-Firnberg program.  

Bettina will work in Michi’s team and will study the interactions of microbial symbionts with the tropical sponge Ianthella basta. The work will be performed in collaboration with Nicole Webster from the Australian Institute of Marine Science. 

Both fellowships have a a highly competitive selection process. In the REWIRE progrma from 176 eligible proposals, eight fellowships were awarded.
